Hi, I’m Iván.

A university student, an entrepreneur, and someone who decided that his time was too valuable to give away to others.

My Story

I grew up watching my father build his own business, manage his team and make decisions that depended solely on him. By the age of 15, I already understood something that takes many people decades to learn: that waiting for someone to give you an opportunity is the longest route. Today I’m a university student. And every day I spend in the lecture halls, I become more convinced of one thing: I don’t want anyone but myself to decide my future. I’m not interested in the easy route. I’m interested in the path that’s worth taking.

Why JourneyStreak

I could have chosen any path. I looked at lots of options, lots of ways to build something of my own from scratch. But I decided to go for something real. Something that would bring real value to real people with real needs.

The digital nomad who works from anywhere and needs technology that can keep up with them. The content creator who can’t afford a technical glitch in the middle of a project. The explorer who ventures where others don’t and needs kit that can withstand whatever the terrain throws at them. The vanlander who lives and works on the road and knows their van has to be ready for anything.

All these people have one thing in common: the gear they wear makes all the difference. And no one was actually doing the job of testing it, filtering it and reporting on it without any pretension.

And that’s how JourneyStreak came into being.

My opinion

I don’t measure my experience in kilometres or years of travel.

I measure it by the time I spend on each analysis. By the hours spent reading specifications that nobody else reads. By the criteria I apply when deciding what to recommend and what to discard without a second thought.

Not everything makes it here. Only what truly deserves your attention and your money.

Honesty above all else: if something isn’t worth the price, we’ll say so. It’s as simple as that. No products recommended just for the sake of it. Just genuine judgement, so that when you choose something, you know it’s already been vetted before it reaches you.

What's coming up

JourneyStreak is a first step.

A step towards something bigger that is yet to come. But to get there, we first need to build something that’s truly worthwhile. Something people can trust. Something that delivers real value before asking for anything in return.
